Why:

After the first UAV flights in Kenya and Rwanda earlier this year, it was time to introduce the image processing part to the dedicated its4land UAV pilots. Claudia Stöcker from ITC took the lead and our African partners from Ethiopia, Rwanda and Kenya attended the training at the premises of the Regional Centre for Mapping of Ressources for Development (RCMRD) in Nairobi. The workshop included a session about the its4land UAV, insights into data quality and theory and practice of image processing. With this activity, the capacity development of the itsl4and UAV pilots is completed.
