Output:

On 24 and 25 May the 4th  Land Conference of the Institute of Land Administration at the Bahir Dar University took place. The its4land project consortium used this conference to showcase the its4land Land Administration Toolbox. This toolbox contains the six key exploitable results which could be marketed and commercialised to help the land administration communities in the developing countries. The exploitable results are:

  • Consultancy services for needs assessment, UAV-based data acquisition for land tenure recording, and for applying the governance and capacity development models for the use of the its4land geospatial tools
  • Software tools for smart sketchmapping, semi-automatic visible boundaries delineation and the  publish and share land information platform

The Ethiopian conference participants showed great interest in the UAV technology for land administration as well the software tools for visible boundaries delineation and smart sketchmapping.

Ethiopia is currently undertaking the second level land certification program to systematically adjudicate the rural land and thus the its4land tools could facilitate the works in this program.
